Coaches, Parents, Players, Umpires, Extended NSA Family,
I have been monitoring the hurricane over the last several days and I am now seeing a more intensified game plan from the meteorologists. They are no longer "sensationalizing" the hurricane. It is becoming clear and precise that the hurricane will have some sort of direct impact on the Tampa Bay region. We pride ourselves on making our tournaments happen and waiting out high rain chances, but this is not that situation. I am making the decision today to cancel this weekend's tournaments for the safety of our employees, umpires and you, our NSA family. I would prefer in the next few days that everyone focus on staying safe and doing things to protect their families and homes, rather than worry about a softball tournament.
Should I have made the wrong call, I am willing to live with that knowing I erred on the side of caution for everyone's sake. You are very important to us, please stay safe and we wish everyone the very best.
